Gyroplane Flight Controls

Gyroplanes have flight controls similar to those found on both airplanes and helicopters. Because of the free-spinning rotor many gyroplanes use push-pull tubes as found in helicopters. Still, yaw control, usually is from a rudder and this arrangement is accomplished with control cables in the same fashion as small airplanes.

Vertical stabilizers, horizontal stabilizers, wings, even adjustable masts have all been employed on gyroplanes to provide stability and control. Your gyroplane kit will have its own set of flight controls and no modifications should be accomplished without first consulting with the kit manufacturer.

The additional topics cover the most common assemblies and are general in nature so be sure to follow your construction manual and replace components and service in accordance with those recommendations.
